The spatial context of a site is the set of environmental conditions in which it exists, the non-visible energy fields that permeate an area, and the intrinsic/extrinsic relational properties, that give space “materiality”. This includes both naturogenic (solar exposure, wind, rain etc.) and anthropogenic (building codes, views, property values, etc.)
conditions of the site. By encoding many of these quantifiable spatial properties and evaluating them in combination within a digital landscape, a completely new understanding of the site condition can
be established. Likewise, by establishing a programmatic metric and value set for the space these analytical processes can also be used as generative tools for design exploration. One based on performance rather than a “primarily conceptual or cerebral” exercise of creative expression. This process will also form the basis for the
subsequent design development in the second half of the semester.

The Trevor Project reported in 2021 that 42% of LGBTQ youth seriously considered attempting suicide in the past year
Same sex marriage only became legal in the United States June 26th, 2015. ONLY 9 YEARS AGO

This project was made intentionally for young people to be able to feel safe and comfortable not only with themselves but also with the environment around them. With that I created the LGBTQ youth center which consists of emergency housing, a resource center, classrooms or an educational setting, counseling, and most important safe spaces for users to feel that they are welcomed no matter who they are.
